Web Design
Globally-focused digital presence for Artington Legal
During my time at MRS as a Web Designer, I had the opportunity to lead the design and branding direction for Artington Legal—a law firm with ambitions to expand beyond their local footprint and compete on a global stage.
The goal was to reposition the brand visually and digitally to better reflect their professionalism, personality, and international expertise. Working closely with the wider team, I helped create a modern, flexible brand and website that communicates trust, clarity, and approachability.
- Full rebrand with a refreshed colour palette and typography system
- UX strategy to realign the site architecture and improve usability
- Custom WordPress site using Gutenberg and full site editing
- Scalable, accessible design optimised for SEO and conversion
- Seamless visual storytelling to reflect their values and expertise

Client: Artington Legal
Project: Website & Brand Design
Sector: Legal / B2B Professional Services
The Challenge
Artington Legal had outgrown their previous brand and website. Their existing digital presence limited their visibility and positioned them as a small-town law firm, when in reality, they worked with clients across the UK and internationally.
They needed a rebrand and a new website to reflect their friendly yet professional approach—showcasing their legal expertise while remaining relatable and human. The challenge was to elevate their online presence, increase engagement, and support their ambitious business goals.
My Approach
To reposition Artington Legal for a wider audience, I led the design direction across both brand and digital. This included redefining their visual language, enhancing accessibility, and delivering a site that empowers them to manage and scale content easily moving forward.
Key aspects of the project included:
- UX and competitor analysis – Carried out research into the legal sector and competitor sites to align the new structure with audience needs and position Artington Legal more competitively.
- Brand redesign – Created a refreshed colour palette using colour psychology to build trust while maintaining their established tones. Typography and contrast were enhanced for both legibility and style.
- Accessible and modern design – Delivered a balanced visual language combining tradition with a modern, approachable feel, with attention to accessibility and clarity.
- WordPress development – Designed for flexibility and performance, the website was built using the latest WordPress full site editing capabilities, with minimal dependency on plugins and a bespoke theme aligned with Google’s Core Web Vitals.
- Conversion-led design – The site architecture was restructured for better usability, supported by clear CTAs, authentic photography, and key trust-building elements like testimonials and client logos.
The Result
The result was a confident, globally-focused online presence that reflects who Artington Legal truly are. The rebrand brought clarity and consistency to their messaging and design, while the new site improved engagement, SEO performance, and user experience across all devices.
The transition was smooth, and the client now has a scalable, easy-to-manage platform that supports their marketing strategy and growth ambitions.
